SKULPTUR will comprise work selected by open call and by invitation of both emerging and established artists who are citizens of, living or working in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden and have not had a substantial exhibition in London before
At least one artist from each country will be selected. It is an opportunity for Nordic artists to exhibit at the RBS galleries in South Kensington, London and outdoor works at a prominent outdoor site in central London from mid February – mid May 2015.
The artist must work in 3 dimensions in any media (including video, performance, installation, sound and light) and must not have had a substantial exhibition in London before the closing date of the application. The artists will be selected by a jury of artists and curators who have links with the Nordic countries. The exhibition will be accompanied by a publication on contemporary Nordic practice with contributions from practitioners, art historians and critics.
The deadline is 11 August 2014 and the selected artists will be announced in September 2014. The exhibition will run from February to May 2015 at the Royal British Society of Sculptors.
